For the Easter celebrations, Chef Jonathan Mougel, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, unveils “Tressaj”, an exclusive creation born from his encounter with Sarah Sorette, a basketry artisan on the island of St-Barth, who preserves the traditional art of weaving latanier palm fibers.
The chocolate egg, a true gourmet work of art, pays tribute to local craftsmanship through an oblique weave of chocolate strands, evoking the precise and patient gesture of traditional braiding. Its delicately plaited shell contrasts with a smooth, satin-like surface, blending artisanal heritage with modern elegance.
Available in dark or milk chocolate, it reveals a melting caramel centre and a subtly spiced hazelnut praline, inspired by the island’s Creole influences.
