I started out by taking a baccalaureate in social work. Ever since I was a little girl, I've loved people and wanted to take care of them. During my A-levels, I discovered socio-aesthetics, taking care of people who really need it: people in retirement homes, cancer patients, burn victims. And so I said to myself: actually, this is what I want to do. I want to do good, I want to help people feel good about themselves.
In my opinion, here you really want to go all the way with the gesture, to always go further, to try to surpass yourself, to reinvent yourself. Massage is like choreography. When you learn to massage, you think of it as dancing. And for a ballet to be beautiful to watch, everything has to be perfected. It's the same principle: we really try to create, to do a little bit more, to imagine new things, but all the while having written the score beforehand. The soul of Spa Cheval Blanc is to create surprises. It's about trying to move every person who enters the spa. That's where all the spa's bees are very creative, because we'll have a moment with each guest to define their habits, desires, needs, daily routine, what they want to do and what their pace of life is. Based on this, we'll try to imagine and create something truly special and tailor-made for them.
We take care of our guests as if they were members of our family. And I want to do the same with my teams. My aim is obviously to be happy, and for me to be happy, the guests have to be well. And for the guests to be well, my team simply has to be happy and fulfilled. So it's my role, and obviously my assistant's too, to make sure that everything's going well. Cheval Blanc is truly a House, and the people who work here are members of our family. No matter what department you work in, the great thing about our hotel business is that you get to meet so many people from different sectors, and that's so enriching. Cheval Blanc is all about surprises.
