Data Protection Policy

I. GENERAL INFORMATION

Société d’Exploitation Hôtelière Isle de France may collect personal data via the website www.chevalblanc.com/stbarthisledefrance (otherwise known as the "Site") from any person (hereafter the "User") addressing online enquiries to Société d’Exploitation Hôtelière Isle de France or booking a Cheval Blanc hotel reservation.

Collection and treatment of personal data provided by Users to Société d’Exploitation Hôtelière Isle de France through the online enquiry form or the booking reservation system are governed by French Law n°78-17 of 6 January 1978 (as modified).

II. RIGHT TO ACCESS, CORRECT AND DELETE DATA AND TO OBJECT TO DATA PROCESSING

Users have the right to access, correct and delete personal data relating to them, and to object to the processing of such data, by addressing a written request, at any time, to Société d’Exploitation Hôtelière Isle de France, Quartier de Colombier, 97133 Saint-Barthélemy, France or to the following email address: corporate@chevalblanc.com.

III. MANAGEMENT OF PERSONAL DATA

3.1 Purpose of data collection

Société d’Exploitation Hôtelière Isle de France collects Users personal data via the Site for the following purposes only:
- answering online inquiries and sending information about Cheval Blanc hotel and catering services;
- allowing Users to book a Cheval Blanc hotel reservation.

Required information (principally first name, last name, address and email) must be entered in the information fields marked with an asterisk in data collection forms. If these fields are not completed, Société d’Exploitation Hôtelière Isle de France will be unable to address User requests.

3.2 Retention of data

Personal data are retained by Société d’Exploitation Hôtelière Isle de France for the period of time required for the purposes described above. The period of retention shall not exceed three (3) years as from the date of the last operation requested by the User and requiring the processing of its personal data.

3.3 Data recipients

Société d’Exploitation Hôtelière Isle de France is the recipient of User personal data.

Société d’Exploitation Hôtelière Isle de France will not send User’s personal data to a third party unless:
- the User has given his/her prior approval to share such personal data with such third party;
- Société d’Exploitation Hôtelière Isle de France has to share the User’s personal data with such third party in order to provide the services requested by the User or answer its request;

3.4 Personal data security and privacy

Société d’Exploitation Hôtelière Isle de France has implemented technical and organizational security measures, in conformity with the state of the art, in particular with regard to the security of its information system.

Société d’Exploitation Hôtelière Isle de France has put in place suitable precautions to ensure the security and privacy of User’s personal data, and to prevent it from being altered, corrupted, destroyed or accessed by unauthorised third parties.

When booking a Cheval Blanc hotel reservation, the User may enter a password, which will be associated to a personal account, in order to comply with Société d’Exploitation Hôtelière Isle de France security policy.

IV. COOKIES

When accessing the Site, a cookie may be automatically installed and temporarily saved in the computer’s memory or hard disk in order to make it easier to use the Site. Cookies are used to record information related to the use of the Site (such as pages, date and time of the visit, etc.).
